1. Via Road – you can plan your trip to Kheerganga by your vehicle, or you can go by bus. An ordinary bus or a Volvo to Kasol and then kheerganga will be available from ISBT Kashmere Gate Delhi and will take up to 10 to 12 hours.

2. Via Air – The closest airport to Kheerganga is Bhuntar Aiport, approximately 50 Kms. You can take a taxi or a local bus to Barshaini.

3. Via Rail – The most economical/ friendly way to reach Kheerganga is via train. Pathankot railway station is the nearest station from where you can hire a taxi or a local bus to reach Kasol.

Different Trekking Routes to Kheerganga 

You can choose three different trekking routes to reach the Kheerganga trek from Barshaini, which is about 10 km. Below are the various trekking routes to reach the kheerganga trek starting point : 

1. Nakhtan Village – This is the best and most convenient way to reach Kheerganga. Just take the left turn from the bridge, which goes straight to Nakhtan village.
   Most people prefer this route which takes only 3 to 4 hours to reach Kasol Kheerganga.
2. Kalga Village – Once you reach Barshaini village, walk towards the bridge and take a right turn to reach the famous Kalga village.
   As the route gets a little bit difficult because of the dense forest, it is advisable to take a local guide who can help you reach. Those who don’t want to see a crowd while trekking can choose this route.
3. Tosh Village – Another route goes to the Kheerganga trek from the famous Tosh Village, which joins the original route from Nakhtan village. 

This path is mainly selected by people who want to stay in Tosh for the night and start trekking in the morning.

Places to Visit in Kheerganga 

• Lord Shiva Temple – The divine temple of Lord Shiva and Goddesses Parvati is one of the most attractive places in Kheerganga. Lots of people go there to seek the blessings of Shiva and Parvati. 
• Sulphur Hot Water Spring – You can visit a sulphur-hot water spring on the trail of Kheerganga, which is popular for its medicinal qualities that can cure skin ailments. 
• Manikaran Gurudwara – Manikaran Gurdwara is another popular place people visit in Kheerganga, approximately 6 km from kasol. This place is sacred and plays an essential part in the Sikh religion that flows between hills and the Beas River.

ATMs & Networks in Kheerganga

As such, there are no ATMs nearby Kheergnaga, so it is better to take sufficient cash beforehand. Though you can find a single ATM in Kasol and a couple in Manikaaran, these ATMs are usually out of money during weekends.

As far as network signals are concerned, you will hardly get any network after Barshaini.BSNL might work during the trek for some time. So, do your essential calls before Barshaini.
